Singer, songwriter, guitarist, harmonica player & foot drummer. Original, rootsy, footstomping, combining dry wit with hot dance rhythms and blues feel. Phil’s solid status as a fine interpreter of blues music owes much to his experience of playing on the street and although he is well known as a busker all over the North West, don’t let that fool you into underestimating his power, skill and technique as a performer. Skills which have lead him to play support for Geno Washington, Rory McLeod, Rod Clements (Lindisfarne) and 2014 British Blues Award winners King King. As well as his own material he covers songs by Little Walter, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Robert Johnson, The Rolling Stones, Taj Mahal, Canned Heat, Richard Thompson and AC/DC.
You can see Phil on Friday & Saturday busking outside The Bodega Bar and on Friday evening at The Elleray.
