Ben has moved fast since he burst out of the Brighton Institute of Modern Music onto the post-millennial scene. Guitarist/Singer/Songwriter Ben Poole is at the forefront of the current young blues/rock/soul movement and can be seen regularly on tour across Europe as well as Internationally. On his recent European tour, he has played to sell-out audiences.
His band is Matt Beable on bass, Craig Bacon on drums and Stevie Watts on keys making a rhythm section that never misses a beat.
Infused with a hard-hitting in-yer-face rock approach and topped off by virtuoso musicianship, Ben Poole is being hailed as THE new up-and-coming UK blues guitarist.
He’s always been more than a bluesman, and Time Has Come to his new and highly acclaimed album reveals the true breadth of Ben’s musical palette. There might still be nods to the kid who fell for Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Healey, Gary Moore and B.B. King in the ’90s, but this is unmistakably the sound of a mature artist planting his own flag.
Ben’s performances are always rocket fuelled and a not to be missed show in The Wheelhouse at Bownessbayblues.
See Ben at The Wheelhouse on Friday 23rd March.
